In Australia, many children receive paediatric health care in private, community or hospital outpatient settings. These children attend with common issues that present challenging problems of diagnosis, management, and service access.

Without a network like the APRN, it’s difficult to research these issues – that’s why most children’s research is based in hospitals or else in primary care or community settings like schools. The APRN aims to address this gap, with a focus on practical issues in the “real world” paediatric setting.
