Steering Group

Currently, the steering group comprises:

Dr Harriet Hiscock, a paediatrician and NHMRC postdoctoral research fellow at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute. She has a research interest in developing and trialling interventions for child sleep problems, mental health and early infant crying.

Dr Daryl Efron, a general paediatrician with clinical and research interests in development, behaviour and neurodisability.

Dr Gehan Roberts, a developmental-behavioural paediatrician with a special interest in early childhood development and the long-term outcomes of preterm birth.

Professor Melissa Wake, a paediatrician with a research interest in the development and translation of community-based strategies that prevent or manage common childhood conditions - obesity, language and literacy delay, hearing, and developmental and behavioural concerns.

Associate Professor Jill Sewell, a developmental-behavioural paediatrician with interests in language and learning difficulties, behavioural problems, life course perspective on child health and development, training and service delivery.

Professor Frank Oberklaid, a developmental-behavioural paediatrician with a special interest in early childhood development, prevention and early detection/early intervention.

Prof Mike South, a general paediatrician and intensivist with special interests in evidence based paediatrics and information systems.

Dr Margie Danchin, a general paediatrician and NHMRC postdoctoral research fellow at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute with research interests in immunisation and vaccine safety, international child health and food allergy.
